Lori Gould has been researching local movement of Snipe at Jerrabomberra, ACT.

Three Latham’s Snipe (Ojishigi) have returned to Jerrabomberra Wetlands after migrating all the way to Japan and Russia to breed. This in itself is quite normal, but by some miracle they managed to keep their (temporary) transmitters attached and then flew past the receiving tower at the wetlands to allow the data on the devices to be downloaded!!

They say never work with children or animals… unless they are very cooperative snipe!
